Show Notes
- The pre-show From Zero countdown song at this show was "Words" by Alesso.
- After "The Emptiness Machine", Mike said, "That's a way to start it. Let's see you pick it up, ready? Let's go y'all - yes, Download!" as "Lying From You" was kicking in.
- After "Lying From You", Mike said, "Fucking incredible! Download, it's good to be. Keep on using those voices, let's hear it on this next one. This one's as much about you singing as much as you like. You let us know."
- Mike said, as the band took a short pause before "Somewhere I Belong" to someone (band or crew, we are unsure): "Always trying to rush us, I'm just trying to slow down and sit up here and enjoy it."
- After "Burn It Down", Mike said, "Thank you guys so much. You know what I don't ever ask, which I should ask? Do we have any Dead Sara fans out here? Put your hands up." Emily said, "This is always a fun place to come, it's always really fun to play. So it's awesome to be here tonight, always, always. Thanks for that!" Mike added, "Can I see a show of hands for people who have seen Linkin Park play before?" and then, "Can I see a show of hands for people who have not seen Linkin Park before? Woah. Can I see a much smaller show of hands for anybody who knows my side project Fort Minor?"
- Before "Two Faced", Emily said, "We got any pits happening here? I wanna see the pits! Do we have anything? Now I'm going to switch something up on you - how about just girls now in the pit? There we go, there's a girl pit right there!" On the bridge of the song, Mike said, "Em can I ask you for a favor? So, the favor is that I'm going to embarrass you a little. It came to our attention after the show got announced that Emily is the first front-women of a Download festival headliner. And if you guys know her, she fucking can't stand that type of attention. Despite what goes on up here, she's like "UGH!" So I want to celebrate that right now. There's a job that the fellas need to do and there's a job that the ladies need to do. So what I want is I want to see ladies only in the pit right now. Gentlemen, open up the pit for these ladies - push it out for all these girls. I want to see some big ass pits." Emily said, "This is making me so happy!"
- The intro pause on "A Place For My Head" was quite long at this show. The crowd even started singing "You try to take the best of me, go away" on the pause because of its length.
- The band stopped "One Step Closer" just before the second chorus. Emily saw an incident in the crowd and said, "You ok over here? Stop, stop stop! Need some help here." to which the band immediately stopped the song. Emily said, "What's going on here, are you ok? Did somebody lose their shoe here, is that what's going on? There really was an incident here. Let's take it from the top boys! Oh, we can't do that, we have a time crunch here." The band quickly decided to start again at the pre-chorus on the second verse as Mike strummed and sang, "Just like before..." before the song kicked in fully. Mike later responded to a fan on Instagram who asked about breaks between the songs and said, "We were pausing until security/stage manager said the crowd was safe."
- The crowd chanted Linkin Park after "What I've Done".
- Joe messed up the "Numb/Encore" intro to "Numb", starting it late. Mike commented, "Just for fun!"
- Mike played the guitar melody of "One" by Metallica on synth on the extended intro of "Overflow".
- The "Resolution Intro" before "Papercut" was listed on the setlist for the band to have an encore break, but they didn't take the break or play that intro due to the time restrictions as they were limited to just 90 minutes. As an encore break was listed, the production went dark and then the band quickly jumped into "Papercut" right after that, during the "Bleed It Out" feedback. As a result, "Papercut" was started at the point it usually started on the From Zero World Tour - without the full studio version intro as the version played live starts 0:04 seconds in without the first repeat (starting on the synth on the intro).
- Before "Faint", Mike said, "Can we make some noise for all the bands that played at Download this year? Incredible lineup, we love all of these bands, we love all of you as well. This one's going to be the last one", to which the crowd booed him as he said it was the last song.
