Show Notes

  • For the first time, Linkin Park played the "Unshatter Movie" trailer before the pre-show From Zero countdown timer began. The timer at the end of the trailer started around 8 minutes instead of the usual 10.
  • The pre-show From Zero countdown song at this show was "Valerie" by Steve Winwood.
  • Mike thanked the crowd in German before "The Emptiness Machine".
  • Both Mike and Emily thanked the crowd again before "Where'd You Go" and Emily said that she loves Germany.
  • The crowd was throwing balloons around during first half of the band's set.
  • Mike played the melody of Depeche Mode's "Enjoy The Silence" on synth over the extended intro of "Overflow". Emily sang "it's all the same to me" over the intro.
  • After "What I've Done", Emily said, "You guys are the best, thank you very much" in German.
  • The band had special red flares launched during the bridge of "Numb".
  • After "Numb", Mike spoke in German and said, "Thanks Rock im Park! What's up? We are so happy to be here You guys are so hospitable. Let's go!"
  • There was extra fire from the production on the start of "Heavy Is The Crown".
  • Before "Bleed It Out", Mike said, "We can't wait to come back", before Emily said, "Thank you so much" in German.
  • Mike rapped verse 1 of "A Place For My Head" over the extended bridge of "Bleed It Out".

Other Notes

  • This show was announced on June 6, 2025, exactly 21 years to the day of the legendary Linkin Park 2004 show at Rock am Ring. It coincided with day one of Rock am Ring 2025, so before Bring Me the Horizon's headlining set, the festival did a special announcement on the big screens. Along with an accompanying fireworks show, the festival announced Linkin Park would be headlining in 2026. Linkin Park also went live on Instagram just before the announcement to share it with the world. Shortly afterward, Rock im Park posted and confirmed the band would be playing both festivals with a custom announcement video (which Rock am Ring then posted too), followed by Linkin Park confirming both on social media. Mike Shinoda shared the Rock am Ring announcement on Instagram with the following years (the years the band played Rock am Ring): 2001, 2004, 2007, 2012, 2014, and 2026. On day two of the festival, Rock am Ring announced a limited edition Linkin Park shirt with those years on it with a few of the band's logos on it.
  • The exact performance date for this show was announced on September 23, 2025, through an announcement by the festival on its official website and social media.
  • Linkin Park performed from 21:30-23:00, a set time of 90 minutes. While they were the last band on the Utopia Stage, a handful of artists performed after them - Limp Bizkit on the Mandora Stage, and Danko Jones and The Butcher Sisters on the Orbit Stage.
  • Colin guested with Papa Roach before Linkin Park on the song "Help".
