Unshatter Film Soundtrack (Live in São Paulo)

Unshatter Film Soundtrack (Live in São Paulo) is the movie soundtrack for the Unshatter movie, composed of songs from Linkin Park's concert in São Paulo, Brazil in November 2024. This will be the band's first live release on physical format since the massive Meteora (20th Anniversary Edition) box set in April 2023. It is set for release on September 25, 2026 in vinyl, CD, and digital formats.

Background

Linkin Park stormed back into the world with their surprise "Launch Show" on September 5th, 2024, livestreamed globally for fans before the band traveled what they referred to as "one and a half times around the globe" over the next two months..^[1] Immediately, the first leg of the From Zero World Tour was announced, beginning literally the next week in Los Angeles. The band set out to headline the Kia Forum, followed by Brooklyn, Hamburg, London, and Seoul before taking about a month off.

As the brand new album From Zero was announced at this time to be released in November 2024, the band began adding dates around their previously-announced Bogota concert. Being heavily rumored throughout the year, the visit to Brazil was announced on September 24, 2024 alongside the release of new song "Heavy Is The Crown" and joined Paris and Arlington as the third stadium show in the announcement. The day prior, the band shared a teaser on social media of fans at the Papercuts listening parties in Brazil from April 2024 of fans telling the band to come to Brazil, the famous phrase known all across the Internet.^[2]

At the time, these were the largest shows the band had ever performed, only outdone later on the same From Zero World Tour. Originally announced as one night, the first show in São Paulo sold out within minutes, prompting Linkin Park to add a second night on September 30, 2024 for the following day, November 16.^[3] This show also sold out immediately. This reception in Brazil gave Linkin Park the reason they needed to quickly return to South America the following year with their first-ever stadium tour on the continent and three massive stadium shows in Brazil alone.

Two days before the first show, on November 13, the band announced that night one would be streamed partially online as a "limited live stream": "From Zero World Tour, LIVE in São Paulo. Tune in Friday, November 15th at 3:30pm PST / 8:30pm BRT for a limited live stream. http://lprk.co/SaoPaulo"^[4] The show was streamed through the first six songs. Additionally, Multishow said that they would be airing the entire show as an exclusive on both Multishow and Globoplay.^[5] The stadium shows for the album release are the big pinnacle moment of the Unshatter movie.

Composition

The soundtrack will feature 16 live songs from the show, plus 4 interludes. Despite vinyl editions being announced without any interludes, the audio is the same on all three releases - digital, CD, and vinyl.

Included songs will be: "Somewhere I Belong", "The Emptiness Machine", "The Catalyst", "Waiting For The End", "Casualty", "Two Faced", "Lost", "What I've Done", "Leave Out All The Rest", "Over Each Other", "Numb", "In The End", "Faint", "Papercut", "Heavy Is The Crown", and "Bleed It Out".

In the track list, "Two Faced" was moved down from Act 1 in the show and was placed after "Casualty" for an unknown reason. During the From Zero World Tour in 2025 and 2026, "Two Faced" was performed in Act II.

The following songs were performed at the night 1 show but are not included in the release: "Crawling", "Lying From You", "New Divide", "Burn It Down", both Joe and Mike's solo portions of the show, "One Step Closer", "Breaking The Habit", "My December", and "Lost In The Echo". There are no songs performed exclusively at the night 2 show on the release.

Four of the five interludes in the show are included in some capacity - "Inception", "Creation", "Break/Collapse", and "Resolution", with only "Kintsugi" not being included. The vinyl tracklist upon release did not mention the interludes and only listed 16 songs, but they are included in all versions of the release.

Artwork

The main cover artwork and assets used on the physical releases contain a promotional photo of the band members and a photo of each of them taken during the live performance. Because Alex was replacing Brad during the tour, Brad's photos of his live performance with the band don't exist. The photo of him taken during the making of "The Emptiness Machine" music video was used instead.

Release

While Linkin Park was touring Europe in June 2026, billboards went up at Download Festival the weekend the band was performing the festival, in Donington, England. On day one of the festival, while Linkin Park was performing in Munich, Germany, billboards were spotted from Linkin Park that promoted the movie release, saying: "The hardest part of ending is starting again" & "Film Soundtrack (Live in São Paulo) Coming Soon)".^[6]

The live release was officially announced on August 4, 2026, with a CD version, three vinyl variants (citrus, orange, and white), and a selection of merch, for a release date of September 25, 2026. Additionally, the band put a video of "Somewhere I Belong" up on digital streaming platforms as well as a video of the song on YouTube, professionally edited.

The following day on August 5, 2026, Linkin Park announced a jade green vinyl variant that will be a "cinema exclusive" vinyl. Details on this vinyl have not been released.

The second pre-release song, "What I've Done", was released on August 21, 2026 with a second live video directed by Joe Hahn.^[7] The third pre-release song, "Faint", was released on September 11, 2026 with live video directed by Joe Hahn,^[8] and final pre-release song, "Heavy Is The Crown", was released on September 18, 2026 with live video directed by Joe Hahn.^[9]

On September 25, 2026 on all digital platforms the band released a live video for "Waiting For The End".^[10] A visual video produced by a Black Balloon Media LLC company was released for all the rest of the songs from the album. A live video for "In The End" was released too but for some reason it was made exclusive only for iTunes/Apple Music.^[11]

In September 2026, the band began referring to the release as a "live album" instead of a "soundtrack" on social media posts.

To celebrate the live release, Mike and Colin visited Amoeba Records on September 25, 2026, the release date, to sign copies of the album on vinyl. They said in a video on Amoeba's Instagram,"Unshatter, new live album, out today! We're at Amoeba, Colin and I signed a couple of these, and they're hiding here in the rack. Unshatter, the film, out September 30th. UnshatterMovie.com!"^[12]

Digital

To prevent any leaks, the label didn't deliver the album to the sound recognition system long before the album announcement/pre-order, like it did with previous releases. The album was likely delivered to that system on Friday, September 31, 2026 and the songs from it began to be discoverable starting with Monday August 3, 2026, New Zealand's midnight time. Fans immediately noticed that the song titles of the new live album started to be displayed on live videos from São Paulo that are on YouTube due to copyright matches.

Usually when the album is meant to be up for pre-order, the label delivers to the digital platforms only the song that is meant to be released on the day with the album pre-order and then the rest of the album more closely to the album release date. With Unshatter soundtrack, the label did the opposite. Along with the first song that was meant to be released on August 4, 2026, an entire release was delivered to all digital platforms with master files and all information about the release including credits. Some digital platforms share the credits for the entire album, like Tidal.^[13] On some digital platforms the soundtrack will become available for pre-order, starting one week before the release date.

The album will be available on all popular digital platforms with max quality of 24-bit/48.0kHz lossless.

The soundtrack contains two songs in explicit version. The censored version of it was not released on digital platforms.

Track Listing

CD and digital releases list all 20 tracks. The vinyl releases list only 16 with no intros/interludes, but it is confirmed the vinyls will have all 20 songs.^[14]
