Before "The Emptiness Machine", Mike thanked fans for their support of the new music.
During 'The Catalyst', Mike wore his hoodie up like he did in the music video. Alex sported a Linkin Park "Casualtee" (from the song "Casualty") shirt during the show.
Mike went into the crowd and during the extended portion of his solo, giving a fan a hat signed by five members of the band (no Alex). He rapped the demo verse of "Lift Off".
During the Break/Collapse Transition before Act III, the crew came out onstage to flip the instruments around on the 360 stage.
Mike played the melody of Metallica's "One" on synth on the intro of "Overflow".
Before "Numb", Colin jokingly was tossing drumsticks at members of the band on stage. Joe came out in front of his DJ stand and threw a significant amount of guitar picks one-by-one into the crowd.
On the Control Colin number game before "Numb", Mike had a fan in the front row fan pick a number (2). While talking to him, Mike called out his arm tattoo which caused him to turn around and look up at it on the video screen. When Mike said the number 2 was the "gospel drums" again, Colin told him that they did that intro at the previous show in Brooklyn. Mike said, "Well that's what he picked!", and they did the gospel drums intro again. On the outro of "Numb", the band started a gospel jam for a minute before it then turned into a full reggae outro jam of the chorus.
During the extended bridge of "Bleed It Out", Mike rapped verse one of Fort Minor's "There They Go".
Emily came out for the encore with a Boston Bruins jersey on.
At the end of the show, Phoenix folded his setlist into a paper airplane and flew it out into the pit. Mike saw a sign from someone that had been to Hartford 2008, Arlington 2024, and Austin 2025, asking him to check off Boston 2025 on his list; Mike went down and checked it off with the fan's sharpie.
Other Notes
This show was announced on December 6, 2024 as an additional show for Boston along with an additional show in Montreal. The band's announcement said, "Boston & Montréal - we’ve added a second show to the 2025 tour dates. July 31st (Boston) and August 5th (Montréal)."
The day of this show on Instagram, Colin posted a story of the band rehearsing "Lies Greed Misery" at soundcheck.
