The third Linkin Park Underground Fan Summit took place in Chicago, Illinois on January 26th, 2011.
Announcement
The Summit was officially announced on December 21st, 2010, but news of the Summit taking place in Chicago first leaked on December 12th.[1][2]
Events
Unlike the prior two summits in London and Sydney, the band didn't perform acoustic tracks for the people at the Summit. Instead, they did a short pre-show rehearsal which included three performances of "Blackout" and two of "Burning In The Skies", the latter of which wasn't included in the actual show. Chester and Phoenix didn't get to the rehearsal until the end of the second "Blackout" performance. In addition, people at the Summit got a Q&A session with the band, a raffle (which included a photo with the band, a dressing room tour, a chance to be the band's photographer for the day, and side stage viewing for the show), an auction to buy rare merch and gear from the band, and the choice to either walk the Linkin Park stage, get a backstage tour, or see the crew's bus.
A Music For Relief event was also held prior to the normal Summit, which included making shirts for the people of Haiti.
