One Step Closer: From Xero to #1: Becoming Linkin Park is a biographical book written by Jeff Blue that details the early days of Linkin Park. From Brad Delson's college internship, their first demo and Whisky a Go Go performance as Xero, through countless rejections and the discovery of Chester Bennington. Jeff Blue was there as their publisher, then as their A&R guy.[1] Rob McDermott, Linkin Park's former manager, said "The whole relationship with Jeff Blue is really important to the beginning of this, because he was the one person who stuck his neck out and always believed in them."[2] Foreword was written by Chester Bennington's ex-wife Samantha Bennington.
