Show Notes
- Linkin Park performed shortened versions of four songs for the show.
- "The Emptiness Machine" began with the first chorus with Mike and Emily in the crowd of back-up dancers, before walking on stage. The song included the first chorus, second verse, and final chorus.
- "In The End" included the song from the intro and first verse before going into the final chorus.
- "Numb" came right out of the end of "In The End" and had the "Numb/Encore" intro, with Mike saying "get 'em, Em" to Emily. The song included the intro through the first chorus before going into Joe's outro. After the show, Mike saw a fan video on Twitter saying that he said "time" in "one last time" weirdly and commented, "A moment before this, looked up at the big screen, saw the live camera feed, thought "wow that looks awesome" and got distracted 😂"
- After "Numb", Linkin Park played their instrumental remix of "Numb" for the UEFA Champions League while Mike and Emily sang part of "Up From The Bottom" over it. It segued directly into "Heavy Is The Crown".
- "Heavy Is The Crown" included the intro through the first verse before going into the final chorus of the song.
- After the performance ended, Mike tweeted, "time to catch my breath"
- Mike wore a shirt with a custom death metal Linkin Park logo which got significant traction on social media after the show. The morning after the show, he posted the logo on Instagram and said that he drew it himself.
Other Notes
- This show was announced on April 16, 2025. The announcement read, in part, "To mark the occasion, the group have composed and recorded a new remix – blending their iconic riffs with the sights and sounds of the UEFA Champions League – that they will debut live to millions of fans ahead of the world's most-watched annual footballing event on what is sure to be an unforgettable night."
- The band created a remix of "Numb" for the show, used in the promotion of the Champions League final. Mike said, "We wanted to put our spin on it and do something based around the sounds of football. It's built on the sounds of the foot hitting the ball, the ball hitting the net, the fans stomping in the seats. These are the things that, when I've been to a match, strike you as the powerful musical elements of being there." Eric Melis, Pepsi's global vice president, said, "Working with Linkin Park on this event fits perfectly with our innovative spirit. It will be an unforgettable show that unites the passion for music and soccer."
- München was notably left off of the band's European Tour which included five sold out stadium shows in Germany, likely due to the booking of this show. Linkin Park returns to headline the venue in June 2026.
