This show was announced on July 19, 2012 with the other shows in Brazil, but was canceled on September 10, 2012. Instead of rescheduling this show, the band added a second night in Rio de Janeiro. The following statement was issued on LinkinPark.com: "Due to logistical issues, some changes have been made to Linkin Park's upcoming Brazilian tour.
Oct. 7th - São Paulo Paulo - Anhembi (no changes)
Oct. 8th - Rio de Janeiro - Citibank Hall Rio (no changes)
Oct. 10th - Rio de Janeiro - Citibank Hall Rio (new concert in the city)
Oct. 12th - Porto Alegre - Gigantinho - (the show was previously booked to happen on Oct. 11th on Zequinha Stadium)
Because of these changes, the concert scheduled in Curitiba on October 10 unfortunately had to be cancelled."
Linkin Park finally returned to Curitiba in 2025. The South American Tour was restructured, originally having shows in Río de Janeiro and Porto Alegre that were canceled, allowing the band to add a show in Curitiba.
