- Chester joined Jim Morrison's poetry reading hosted by The Doors drummer John Densmore in the bookstore called Book Soup as part of The Door's 40th Anniversary celebration.
- Chester performed three spoken word passages from Jim's poem "New Creatures".
- The bookstore is situated just across the street from Whisky A Go Go, so after the event was finished, the entire party proceeded to the venue to do the show hosted by Ray Manzarek & Robbie Krieger - the other members of The Doors.
