Alternate Universe is one of the exclusive perks available on Julien-K's official Patreon page, allowing fans access to unreleased songs, mixes and videos from the band and their other projects such as JK DJs, Orgy and Dead By Sunrise in varying qualities and file formats. While some of the content had already been released through other platforms, most of it is exclusive to Patreon. Although the series started with weekly releases, they became less frequent over time until they became sporadic releases in 2023 when the band felt they had already provided too much content and decided to save some things for future official releases.
Alternate Universe is available to patrons signed to the "SILENCER" and superior tiers: "INNER DEMON", "ELITIST" and "OVERLORD"; not being available to the "SHADOW ARMY" and "LEGION" tiers. Access to remix stems aren't included in the "SILENCER" tier, only for "INNER DEMON" and superior.[1] However, the band has released entire instrumental albums and stems of at least one song to lower tiers. A few Alternate Universe releases have also been made available for lower tiers.

In our case study here, I created a mix of "institution" with the parts Amir was playing extra loud and everything else turned down. This allowed us to hone in on programming the sounds, and re-learning all the parts." |
