The Digital Souvenir Package (DSP) series is a program by Linkin Park that ran from 2007 to 2012 where the band sold a majority of their live concerts for fans.
Background
Starting in 2007 on the Projekt Revolution Tour, shows were sold at the merch booth for $11, and they came with a blank CD, an insert with a code, and a white CD wrapper. The insert had a code that could be used within 10 days of the performance at live.linkinpark.com to download 320kbps mp3s of the show. At the time, these were called "live CDs."
On July 23, 2007, Mike and Phoenix were on Rockline for an interview before Projekt Revolution and talked about the band recording each show on the tour and letting fans buy the show.[1] The band officially announced the CDs on July 26, 2007 in the LP Newsletter, saying, "No more listening to distorted, bootleg copies of LP concerts... get a clear, mixed copy of your Linkin Park show at the merchandise booth! Visit the merchandise booth at any Linkin Park tour date (starting with Projekt Revolution 2007) to purchase a limited-edition recording of the entire LIVE Linkin Park performance from that night. Only 1000 copies will be sold for each show date, so be sure to get yours before they're gone."[2]
Brad told AOL Music, "It means we can't suck. The stuff's gonna go up on YouTube anyway, so we might as well do a real mix of it for fan rather than it have be recorded by some dude jumping up and down with a cell phone."[3]
In 2008, starting with the UK shows, the band switched to a Digital Souvenir Pack that included a code to download the show, a digital program and pictures from the show. The code was still redeemed at the same place, and live CDs were still sold at the merch booths at shows. The Digital Souvenir Pack was $15 and the live CDs remained the same at $11.[4]
Starting on March 2, 2010 the band started selling all the previously available shows over downloads.linkinpark.com as LP Archives: Official Tour Bootlegs for $9.99 each show. All of the previously unreleased shows from the 2007 Australia and New Zealand Tour were added for the launch of the site.[5]
Starting with the 2011 North American Tour, fans who attended were able to download the audio of that show for up to 24 hours after the event. At the venue of each show there were callouts with an unique code and fans had to text that code to 50505 and follow the instructions to redeem their download.[6][7]
The DSP program was ended after the band played two shows in South Africa in 2012.[8]
Fans have appealed to revive the program over the years, but their efforts have not worked. LPLive wrote an open letter to the band in March 2013 and started a petition over two years later, in August 2015, to no success.[9][10] In December 2015, Linkin Park completely closed their live download website.[11]
Mike Shinoda has said it was hard recording every show, mixing it, and getting it out to fans in a reasonable amount of time. Towards the end, the crew was turning them out every few days and getting burnt out on it. At first, they had to have a shipping container where Pooch and Dylan Ely mixed the shows, but then they finally were able to cut it down to smaller gear after technology improved. At the start, Jim Digby and the band had to review the edits but the band ended up trusting Pooch and Dylan with the mixing.[12]
Recordings from the DSPs were repurposed for the LP Underground 7, Projekt Revolution 2008 UBS Wristband, Songs From The Underground, 2011 North American Tour EP, "Live Around The World" Series, and the singles for "Shadow Of The Day", "Given Up", "Leave Out All The Rest", "The Catalyst", "Burning In The Skies" and "Castle Of Glass".
Throughout the six year history of selling shows, the band put 229 shows online for fans. Below you will find a list of all shows that Linkin Park has ever sold as a part of their live CD / Digital Souvenir Package (DSP) program.

Wantagh, NY on August 15th was being sold and was taken down from the merch booth mid-show due to the venue wanting a large percentage of the sales. The one-off show in Las Vegas, NV on September 8 was not sold as well as several other one-off shows (Key Club on October 26 and KROQ AAC on December 8).
