The best of you (The best of you)
The best of you (The best of you)
Never did much for you (Never did much for you)
Never did much for me (Never did much for me)
I guess it's true (I guess it's true)
I guess it's true (I guess it's true)
You can't really change the person you'll be
I can't really change the person you'll be
The least I can do is cut myself free
The least I can do is cut myself free

I heard the screaming in my dreaming every night
I heard your screaming in my dreaming every night
I awake and I'm still mistaking you for right
I awaken still mistaking you for right

The worst of me (The worst of me)
The worst of me (The worst of me)
Forget my best today (Forget my best today)
Will get my best today (Get my best today)
Don't laugh, you'll see (Don't laugh, you'll see)
Don't laugh, you'll see (Don't laugh, you'll see)
I'll carefully choose the words that I say and try to pretend it, all is okay
I'll carefully choose the words that I say
And try to pretend it all is okay

I heard the scrеaming in my dreaming every night
I heard your scrеaming in my dreaming every night
I awakе and I'm still mistaking you for right
I awakеn still mistaking you for right
Broke myself and hoped I still could save some pace
Broke myself and hoped I still could save some face
Now I'm floating and controlling in this state of grace
Now I'm floating, I'm controlling in this state of grace

I heard the screaming in my dreaming every night
I heard your scrеaming in my dreaming every night
I awake, and I'm still mistaking you for right
I awakеn still mistaking you for right
Broke myself and hoped I still could save some pace
Broke myself and hoped I still could save some face

"Massive" is a song from the Meteora recording sessions that was officially released on the 20th Anniversary Edition of Meteora.

Background

"Massive" made its debut on April 4, 2023 on Linkin Park's takeover of SiriusXM Channel 41 Turbo for the Meteora 20 celebration. Mike Shinoda sings lead vocals on the song. The "heard the screaming in my dreaming" line was also present in the demo version of "In The End".

When discussing the box set, Mike said about "Massive" and "Healing Foot", "One of those two I think I tried to resurrect during Minutes to Midnight, and again, it was like, "No man, we don't want to look backward at all." So this is all about that 2003 moment. There's a certain level of quality control going on. We want to make sure that when we put something together, it's thoughtful and we'’ve done our best. Is it going to be perfect? No. Is it going to appeal to everybody? Of course not. It never will be."[1]
