Background
"Broken Foot" is an instrumental demo from the Meteora sessions released in November 2011 on the LP Underground Eleven CD. On the booklet, Mike Shinoda wrote: "This was what I imagine all our Meteora demos sounded like. I always thought this might have sounded cool with some rapping in the verses."
The title of the demo is a reference to when Brad stormed offstage after becoming very mad at the technical problems he had during the Chula Vista September 28, 2001 show with his pedals and amps. He kicked a large steel door and broke his foot, sending him to the hospital for a cast.
