"Intro" is the first track on Fort Minor's Sampler Mixtape.
Background
Fort Minor's Sampler Mixtape CD was sent to street team members beginning October 19, 2005 in order to promote the upcoming album The Rising Tied.
"Intro" is 57 seconds long and is the extended instrumental used by Fort Minor before performances of "Remember The Name". "Remember The Name" opened every Fort Minor concert, meaning the instrumental was the show intro in 2005 and 2006 while Fort Minor was touring.
The track begins with a robotic female voice saying, "Fort Minor, The Rising Tied, Album Sampler, For Promotional Use Only" before Mike says, "Cheapshot, go get 'em!" referencing DJ Cheapshot from Styles Of Beyond who "cut" the Sampler Mixtape and mixed all of the samples on the intro in.
Many samples are used on the intro, including Fat Joe's "1, 2 Pass It", Ali Vegas' "Brothers Respect Mine", Styles Of Beyond's "Killer Instinct", Westside Connection's "Westside Slaughterhouse", Linkin Park's "H! Vltg3 (Evidence featuring Pharoahe Monch & DJ Babu)", Mobb Deep's "Adrenaline", Fort Minor's "Remember The Name", Jay-Z's "Takeover", EPMD's "You Gots To Chill", Gang Starr's "DWYCK", and Pharoahe Monch's "Simons Says".

Live
"Intro" from Sampler Mixtape opened every show in The Rising Tied touring cycle in 2005 and 2006 that opened with "Remember The Name" and wasn't a promo appearance. While the underlying beat/synth is the same as the studio recording, the instrumental featured Beatdown drumming over it and had different scratches and samples.
