- This was Chester's third year in a row performing at the event. In 2011, Dead By Sunrise performed and in 2012, he performed with an "all star lineup" and covered famous rock songs. At this show, STP performed a shortened 9 song setlist for the event.
- After the performance, Chester brought 200 signed drumheads by STP onstage and auctioned them off for $200 a piece. He hand-delivered them to the winners in the crowd.
- The event also played a Castle Of Glass video from the Cardon Children's Medical Center, which Chester visited the day before the show with Stryker from KROQ.
- Mike Shinoda was in attendance at the event and watched the Stone Temple Pilots set with Stryker from KROQ.
