Falling Down Interlude

From Linkinpedia

"Falling Down Interlude" was a live show interlude performed by Linkin Park during the Hybrid Theory touring cycle in 2001. The interlude first appeared on setlists as "Dialog: #33" in early January 2001 before it became "Falling Down Interlude" on the Street Soldiers Tour.

Background

The "Falling Down Interlude" is composed of a speech delivered by Michael Douglas in the role of William Foster, the lead character in Joel Schumacher's 1993 crime drama thriller Falling Down.

Live

The "Falling Down Interlude" always preceeded "One Step Closer". The first known live performance happened in Hamburg, Germany during Linkin Park's short promotional European Tour in January 2001 and remained in the setlists until the first show of Ozzfest 2001 in Tinley Park on June 08, 2001, when only an instrumental version of the interlude was performed. Following this show, the interlude was dropped and never performed again.

You couldn't let a man sit here
For five minutes and take a rest
On your precious piece-of-shit hill?
Want my briefcase?
I'll get it for you, all right?
You want my briefcase?
Here's my briefcase!
Where are you going?
Where are you going?
You forgot the briefcase!
You forgot the briefcase!
I'm going home!
Clear the path, you motherfucker!
Clear the path!
I'm going home!
