Template:Infobox song "One Hundredth Stream" is an instrumental created by Mike Shinoda on September 25, 2020 via Twitch to celebrate his 100th stream since March 2020, hence the title.

Background

On September 24, 2020, Mike acknowledged that his next jam would have been his 100th song since he started streaming. It wasn't his hundredth stream, like he wrote on his Ableton project, but the one hundredth song/jam.

Mike decided to do a freestyle track using a sample redemptions by the fans with five Sounds.com samples.

Release

On February 5, 2021, Mike announced that he would be selling music on the cryptocurrency auction website Zora.[1]. The first item Mike sold was a 40 second video of a GIF that he made containing music of the unreleased song "One Hundredth Stream." The announcement confused many fans on social media as the cryptocurrency auctions and NFTs were a new concept to many people, but Mike began explaining the process in replies to fans. On February 7, he accepted the final bid of $30,000 on "One Hundredth Stream" and said, "$30k US will be going to the “Michael K Shinoda Endowed Scholarship” at @artcenteredu to benefit students based on artistic merit and financial need."[2] Over the next few days, he began to experiment by selling a variety of different digital items - mainly sketches, artwork, and also his name in Times New Roman font.

After the auction ended, fans learned that Mike had only sold 37 seconds of "One Hundredth Stream" and the Zora video was not actually a preview of the entire track, it was the actual release Mike was selling. To date, only these 37 seconds have been "released" (sold) by Mike and they are embedded in a GIF video Mike uploaded to Zora.

To date, the full track is unreleased.

On September 7, 2021, Mike said he wanted to release a new track on Audius. He gave the fans three choices for what to vote for. He said, "We have "Skrrt Skrrt," we have "License to Waltz," we have "Acoustic Quarantine Tequila." Let's listen to some of these. We have this one, this one's "Skrrt Skrrt." Make a new poll? What should I release on Audius? "One Hundredth Stream" was a request, it's kind of a cool track, I love this one. So that one's called "One Hundredth Stream." This one we just listened to, I call it "One Hundredth Stream." What was the other name for the "Quarantine Tequila" one? What was the other name for it? "Atomic Tortilla"? I've gotta find the "Quarantine Tequila" song. I didn't call it "Atomic Tortilla," I didn't call it that in my... thing. "4/13/20," is that what it was? Oh so it was "JPop/Owl City/Madonna!" Oh so I've gotta rename this - "Quarantine Tequila." I want to put one more in there. The "Zeppelin" one was really good. Let's just get the vote done - "Skrrt Skrrt", "One Hundredth Stream", and "Quarantine Tequila." The final results in order were "Skrrt Skrrt" (with 42% of votes), "One Hundredth Stream" and "Quarantine Tequila." The song will be posted on Audius today."[3]
