Template:Infobox song "Smoke Mouth" is a song created and recorded by Grey Daze before the Wake Me sessions.
Background
"Smoke Mouth" was recorded sometime in June 1994 as part of a 6-track demo which predates the recording sessions for Wake Me. Although Jason Barnes plays on the song, it was written with the band's previous guitarist Steve Mitchell.
The recording was done at Teething Studios, Scott Crowley’s apartment studio. He was from a band called “Nihil”. Jonathan Krause said, "He had a digital recording studio. I thought the drums sounded cheesy they were way to electronic. But it was free so who's complaining?" Sean Dowdell adds, "It wasn't a studio. It was his apartment and he and I recorded it on a very small recording program on a computer. Home recording though, not studio."[1]

Lyrics
Found me a sea of grey
Scream until the yesterday
Laugh into some other's face
Mouth sickened / Cold embrace
2, 3, 4!
Mamamamama
HEY!
Hey!
Endless rain upon my grave
My soul's at rest now / Free of pain
My solitude's are so insane
My bluest skies turn reddish gray
HEY!
2, 3, 4!
Mamamamama
Hey!
Yeah!
Yeah, hey, hey, hey, ah
Hey, hey, hey, hey, ah
Smoke mouth!
Smoke mouth!
Smoke mouth!
Smoke mouth!
Smoke mouth!
Smoke mouth!
Smoke mouth!
Smoke mouth!
