Other Notes:

  • Originally announced by MTV (via TV commercials and on MTV.de) as performing, Linkin Park was set to play the 2003 MTV VMA's. Somewhere along the line, the band's name ended up being removed from the list of performers. Instead, Chester and Pharrell introduced Beyonce for her performance. This is why the band had an extended break in the middle of their European Tour, between England and Germany. It can be logically assumed the performance by Linkin Park would have been Somewhere I Belong or most likely Faint, the latest single at the time.
  • Linkin Park was nominated for and won Best Rock Video for Somewhere I Belong. Running against it were Bring Me To Life by Evanescence, Lifestyle Of The Rich And Famous by Good Charlotte, St. Anger by Metallica, and Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes.
