"Reckless" is the seventh track on Skam2?'s sophomore mixtape The SKRONIK: Flying Monkey Murder Cirkus. The song originally featured an introduction by Mike Shinoda but it was removed for the mixtape.
Background
Skam2? is a rapper and visual artist who created the cover of the mixtape Rock Phenomenon, which Mike Shinoda worked on in 2006. "Reckless" was recorded around the same time they worked on the mixtape.
The song was posted by Skam2?, under the alias Lt. Cornbread, on his MySpace page in April 2007. It was produced by K.L.R. T.R.X. and features an introduction by Shinoda.[1][2] Lt. Cornbread's MySpace page also featured some photos of him with Mike as well as other Fort Minor collaborators such as Holly Brook, Ryu and Tak.
The only other time Skam2? would be mentioned by Mike Shinoda was in 2011 when SKAM2?'s "To Be A Legend" won a contest which allowed the track to get airplay on the Linkin Park radio station at iHeartRadio.[3] Mike said, "If you’re going to mix rap and rock, you have to do something a little extra to catch my attention. This track by Omniscient & Skam2 has it."[4]
"Reckless" was completely reworked and shortened (with Mike Shinoda's speech also being removed) for Skam2?'s 2015 mixtape The Skronik: Flying Monkey Murder Cirkus[5] which featured tracks recorded over the course of nearly a decade.[6] The project, mixed by DJ Immortal, is the follow-up to 2012's Skronik: How To Boil Vomit and features production by Kevin Rudolf, SKAM2? himself and YMCMB producer Infamous.[7][8] The full mixtape was made available on Audiomack for free download[9] and spawned one single called "Definition".

Lyrics
[Mike]
What up, this is Mike Shinoda
From Fort Minor and Linkin Park
And you're rocking with Skam
Skam: Ayy, yo Mike?
Mike: Yeah?
Skam: What's my codename?
Mike: Lieutenant Cornbread!
Right, left [x4]
Now know when I looked in the mirror
I could feel what I see
All this negative chi
And it compels me to be
Better than I ever was
Everything I never was
Pearly, your hammy, your father
So don't forget it, cuz
Never wore the tights or played with a mic
I'm serious, I'm being assembled in the mind of a dyke
It's time to ignite / This student set flames to the streets
They think it was a gang coming how I bang on the beat
Like swingin' / Bats in chains or gats in pains
In the hand of a stormtrooper
Let it splatter your brains
We know it was my lord Vader
His sword is your savior
We changin' the season, maybe that's the reason you all hate us
Hearing complicated
Really? It's as simple as that
We're harder than watching someone you love destroy themselves
From the inside to out
Never had time for thou
Eight reasons coming in
I'm looking for a hardline out
We know I operated a call
All my hatred to y'all
Turned explosives like strapping a clay mortar / My balls
To my first drop / Now I'm waiting to fall
Realities too much / I can't take in it all
I'm reckless
Give me the chance, I'll do it again (Reckless)
Course there's nothing to throw to the wind (Reckless)
Close to the edge and out of control (Reckless)
Say what you want as long as you know
This is my life, it is the cause of death
Ain't nothing going right, but I ain't making no lefts
There too much pride to quit and ask for help
I don't love you, bitch
I don't love myself
I'm reckless
Altering the program / The speed of the constant
Every word unhinging like a hydrogen bomb struck
And burned to an experience that altered your conscience
That old scam is gone
Transform into a monster
I don't want to talk to God, it's pointless, he don't want us
This reality bores me
I feel I'm beyond it
Oh, you think it's honkey-dory? Oh boy, that's nonsense
This sort of fit for us so the answer's upon us
You'd rather watch the world burn
'Til it's coppin' and doggin'
So I've worked with the devil, I've been their oval office
Ain't it funny how your life sorta represents a coffin?
You dyin' to retake the street that you lost
Turnin' and tossin' / It happens so often
Got me feelin' so awkward, I think I'd rather by nauseous
My souls are burning, my mind's a hospice
There's only one word to describe the state of mind that I'm lost in
I'm reckless
Give me the chance, I'll do it again (Reckless)
Course there's nothing to throw to the wind (Reckless)
Close to the edge and out of control (Reckless)
Say what you want as long as you know
This is my life, it is the cause of death
Ain't nothing going right, but I ain't making no lefts
There too much pride to quit and ask for help
I don't love you, bitch
I don't love myself
My intuition is wrong inside my brain to the brink
And now my dreams feel more real than when I'm awake
I wonder where I'll be when I make that mistake
It's like hacking a computer, time is all that it takes
When you're reckless, you don't think much
Lifelike on big red pills laced with pink dust
The moment you take it, it all goes from green and to blue
Now you're out in the world naked
Wish you wasn't you
It's residual cell fitness
With nothing much left in it
Potentially is around me singin' I be ant-ridden
Hope for round vision / The end is beginning
I'm going nowhere fast / My head just keeps spinning
The air just keeps getting thicker / Everything is a blur
We have a picture to remember, it's like nothing occurred
My train of thought goes back and forth through so many things
Can't remember where I was in the decisions I made
Ha, I got there for that matter
Hop up and don't stand up
Subtract me from the equation / This shit just won't add up
The sum of all things / The path of the one
Is made by the many / The end has begun
I'm reckless
Give me the chance, I'll do it again (Reckless)
Course there's nothing to throw to the wind (Reckless)
Close to the edge and out of control (Reckless)
Say what you want as long as you know
This is my life, it is the cause of death
Ain't nothing going right, but I ain't making no lefts
There too much pride to quit and ask for help
I don't love you, bitch
I don't love myself
I'm reckless
