Introduction

The Living Things South American and South African Tours (condensed to one page due to the small number of shows) were two tours composed of 5 and 2 shows each in October and November 2012.

Summary

This was Linkin Park's third trip to South America after visits in 2004 and 2010. Buenos Aires, Argentina was the first stop of the tour and hosted Linkin Park for the second consecutive visit - almost two years after their first visit to Buenos Aires.

The following four shows took place in Brazil. The shows were announced on July 19, 2010, saying "I'm very excited to announce that we'll be heading back to Brazil in October for a run of shows, starting in Sao Paulo on October 7. We had such a great time the last time we were there that we didn't want to wait another 6 years before heading back.

October 7: São Paulo, Brazil - Parque Anhembi October 8: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Citibank Hall October 10: Curitiba, Brazil - Parana de Clube October 11: Porto Alegre, Brazil - Zequinha Stadium"

On September 10, 2010 the tour was rescheduled. "Due to logistical issues, some changes have been made to Linkin Park's upcoming Brazilian tour.

- Oct. 7th - São Paulo Paulo - Anhembi (no changes) - Oct. 8th - Rio de Janeiro - Citibank Hall Rio (no changes) - Oct. 10th - Rio de Janeiro - Citibank Hall Rio (new concert in the city) - Oct. 12th - Porto Alegre - Gigantinho - (the show was previously booked to happen on Oct. 11th on Zequinha Stadium)

Because of these changes, the concert scheduled in Curitiba on October 10 unfortunately had to be cancelled."

While Curitiba did not receive a show, Rio de Janiero was able to host two intimate shows for fans.

After this tour, Linkin Park visited South Africa for two stadium shows, headlining Cape Town Stadium in Cape Town and FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
