"License To Waltz" is the fourteenth track on the album Dropped Frames, Vol. 3 by Mike Shinoda. It was released on September 9, 2020 with album pre-orders.[1]

Background

"License To Waltz" is a song by Mike Shinoda made during the 2020 global COVID-19 pandemic.

In March 2020, the global pandemic created by the COVID-19 coronavirus caused communities to quarantine at home. During this time, Mike Shinoda decided to start live streaming online and inviting fans to watch him create new instrumental music.

"License To Waltz" was a track made by Mike on June 11, 2020 under the working titles "6.11 Licenze to Waltz", and "6.11 License to Waltz Mix 1."[2] This CoronaJam was the result of several ideas. This was a mash up of Tchaikovsky's Flower Waltz + Beastie Boys "License To Ill" + Reggaeton + ASMR (Wildcard).

"License To Waltz" was released as the first song off of Dropped Frames, Vol. 3 on September 9, 2020 when the album was officially announced.[3]
