Projekt Revolution 2007 was Linkin Park's fourth edition of Projekt Revolution and their first North American Tour for Minutes To Midnight. The tour ran from late July to early September 2007, composed of 29 total shows. One show, [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070805 2007.08.05 Woodlands, TX], was sold out.
The Hunting Party's European Tour in August and September 2016 was Linkin Park's third tour of Europe for the album, following tours in June and November 2014. The tour was just 10 shows long. A show in [http://lplive.net/forum/?showtopic=11909 Serbia] was rumored to close the tour.

Despite interviews from 2002-2004 stating that the band wished to continue Projekt Revolution even when they weren't on it, the tour took a break in 2005 and 2006, coming back full-force in summer 2007. The "rival tour" in North America at the time was Warped Tour, and members of Projekt Revolution's bands (Linkin Park included) even hosted an Xbox Halo competition against Warped in the middle of the tour.

This was Linkin Park's largest tour since Projekt Revolution 2004, which encompassed 32 shows from the same time frame, late July to early September.

After the European Tour in May and June 2007, the band played three shows in July before Projekt Revolution began. [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070707 2007.07.07 Chiba, JP] was the Live Earth event and Linkin Park played the Japan edition. Phoenix in an interview said, ''"Doing Live Earth took a bit of logistical tweaking, though. The reason we're playing in Japan is because our drummer, Rob Bourdon, is locked into a wedding as the best man on the 8th, so we had to figure out how to play the show and have him make it to the wedding. But we’re booked, and we’re going to play. And Rob will get to the wedding, too, which is important."'' Live Earth was a series of worldwide concerts and events that raised awareness of climate change, put together by Al Gore. It was broadcasted across the world. At this show, Linkin Park played 15 songs and dealt with their famous "barricade incident" after Lying From You, where rowdy fans broke through the barricade forcing the band to take a 20+ minute break mid-show while it was repaired.
A month before this tour, Linkin Park played five stadium shows in China for The Hunting Party, their first tour of China in the history of the band.

Production rehearsals for the massive Projekt Revolution Tour began on July 16th at The Forum in Inglewood, CA, but Linkin Park played a show on [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070717 2007.07.17 Hollywood, CA] for the grand opening of the Ritual Restaurant and Night Club. This was a private event, but proceeds went to Music For Relief. Linkin Park played 14 songs and Mike told a funny story about [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2000andearlier/19971114 Xero's first show] (opening for System of a Down) in 1997.

On [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070719 2007.07.19], the band and KROQ invited guests to their rehearsal space at The Forum for the Kevin and Bean Breakfast Show and a six song performance. Fans were treated to breakfast and an intimate performance. This show was webcasted online.

Besides Projekt Revolution being the band's big "comeback" tour after their 2005-2006 break, the most notable thing about the tour was that it was Linkin Park's first time rotating setlists. They rotated three different setlists for fans, with each set having a few exclusive songs. There is a full breakdown of all three setlists, which shows had what set, and more written by Astat that can be viewed [http://lplive.net/wiki/db/sets/projekt-revolution-2007-setlists here].
This tour was a standard trip to Europe for the band with a mix of festivals and headlining shows. However, Linkin Park usually visits Europe for festivals in June and July, so this was their first trip there in August since they played Reading and Leeds in 2003 all the way back during the Meteora touring cycle. Because of this, they were able to play a few different festivals for the first time.

'''Set A''' opened with Wake and Given Up, closed with Faint, and had an encore of One Step Closer, In The End, and Bleed It Out.
Pukkelpop ran a contest for what band fans wanted to see headline and Linkin Park won by a landslide majority. They were subsequently announced as headliners, and the day tickets for Linkin Park's show date sold out instantly. It was fitting that this was the first show of the tour. A show at Austria's FM4 Frequency followed - both of these were new festivals for Linkin Park.

'''Set B''' opened with No More Sorrow, closed with One Step Closer, and had an encore of Cure For The Itch, QWERTY, Bleed It Out, and Faint.
Headlining shows included a big return to Poland, this time in Rybnik, a first appearance in Minsk, Belarus, another huge show in Moscow, an outdoor show in Jämsä, Finland, and a soccer stadium show in Berlin.

'''Set C''' opened with One Step Closer, closed with Bleed It Out, and had an encore of The Little Things Give You Away, What I've Done, and Faint.
Two festivals were in Germany and were titled Rock'n'Heim and Rock im Sektor, put together by long time Linkin Park promoter MLK. Finally, a massive show at Rock in Roma, Italy closed the tour....Italy's second show of The Hunting Party Tour.

There were many new intros and outros performed for songs that debuted on this tour, for a list of those click [http://lplive.net/wiki/db/sets/projekt-revolution-2007-setlists here].
Setlist-wise, things stayed the same for Linkin Park except for one small change. Rebellion and Points Of Authority were played in the same setlist for the first time in 2015. Rebellion was absent in North America in January, but came back in May and June. However, it rotated with Points Of Authority and neither were played together that year until this tour. Of course, Rebellion was dropped entirely from the setlist in China due to its lyrics.

Live debuts from these sets included Shadow of the Day in Set C at [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070725 2007.07.25 Auburn, WA], In Pieces in Set A at [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070727 2007.07.27 Wheatland, CA], and Hands Held High in Set B at [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070729 2007.07.29 Mountain View, CA].
Mike used this tour to perform two side shows for Fort Minor on off days (Copenhagen and London) and one as an opening act for Linkin Park at Düsseldorf's Rock im Sektor. This was the first time Fort Minor played on the same day as Linkin Park since Summer Sonic 2006 and the first time Fort Minor directly opened for Linkin Park on the same stage.

The tour started with Set C at [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070725 2007.07.25 Auburn, WA] and rotated C, A, A, B, B, before going A, B, C for a few more weeks. The band then experimented by changing Set B at [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070825 2007.08.25 Camden, NJ] and then changing it once again at [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070829 2007.08.29 Holmdel, NJ] so much that fans started referring to it as the unofficial "'''Set D'''." See the respective show pages for more information on the changes.

Other small changes started happening almost immediately. QWERTY made its comeback on this tour, but the band couldn't decide how to perform it...electing to play a mashup of the 2006 "live version" and the LP Underground 6 studio version. As a result, it was dropped several times from the setlists ([http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070731 2007.07.31 Chula Vista, CA] and [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070813 2007.08.13 Raleigh, NC]).

Two big things happened at [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070801 2007.08.01 Phoenix, AZ]. Mike started rapping a verse over the intro of Points Of Authority and the band literally forced Rob to start playing a drum solo over Bleed It Out. The intro verse and drum solo both continued to be a staple of Linkin Park's setlists for years (2009 for Points Of Authority and 2012 for Bleed It Out). Click [http://lplive.net/wiki/db/sets/projekt-revolution-2007-setlists here] for a full list of the verses Mike rapped over Points Of Authority on the tour. Verses included Fort Minor songs, rarer Linkin Park songs, and the collaboration tracks It's Goin' Down and Second To None.

The show at [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070822 2007.08.22 Clarkston, MI] was webcasted by MySpace.com for a Projekt Revolution Tour all-day special.

This is the first tour that the band started selling professionally-mixed copies of their shows to fans. Commonly now referred to as DSPs ([http://lplive.net/wiki/db/releases/digital-souvenir-packages Digital Souvenir Packages]), fans could purchase a blank CD with a custom code at the merch booth and then download the show 3-5 days afterward online. Linkin Park promoted fans sharing the concerts amongst each other online as well, due to the setlists and shows not all being the same. The show at [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070815 2007.08.15 Wantagh, NY] was not sold at the last minute due to the venue demanding a portion of profits from the show.

Joe missed the last three shows in Europe (Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Roma) because he had to fly back to the U.S. due to a family emergency. His tech, Warren, filled in for him. Due to his absence, the Joe Solo Medley was dropped from the setlist for those three shows.

Starting at [http://lplive.net/shows/db/mikeshinoda/20070817M 2007.08.17 Cuyahoga Falls, OH], Mike joined Styles of Beyond to perform Second To None and the Fort Minor track Remember The Name during their set on the Revolution Stage.

Due to this change, the band dropped Systeme De Sexe from the setlist in favor of Maestro, which Chester had sung previously with the band.

At [http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070903 2007.09.03 Greenwood Village, CO], Mike invited members of every other Projekt Revolution band out on Faint, to close the tour. He had Rob pause on the outro of the song so he could name off the other bands on the bill.

Introduction

The Hunting Party's European Tour in August and September 2016 was Linkin Park's third tour of Europe for the album, following tours in June and November 2014. The tour was just 10 shows long. A show in Serbia was rumored to close the tour.

Before the tour

A month before this tour, Linkin Park played five stadium shows in China for The Hunting Party, their first tour of China in the history of the band.
