Live In Denver - Projekt Revolution or Live In Denver: Projekt Revolution 2004 is a live show release by Linkin Park on April 7, 2023, included in the Meteora (20th Anniversary Edition) Super Deluxe Box Set in the same DVD as Live In Manila 2004. While the title of the release reads "Live In Denver - Projekt Revolution", the show was registered by Warner Records as "Live In Denver 2004".
(This is an expansion of the Out Of Ashes album page for the 15th anniversary release in 2024.)

Live in Las Vegas is a live concert by Dead Sunrise included on the 2024 reissue of their album Out Of Ashes as tracks 14 through 18. This is the first full show by the band to be released, but it is not its own standalone release.

Background
Background
Linkin Park took 2004 by storm, playing 77 shows from January to September and covering four continents - North America, Europe, Asia, and South America. The year kicked off with a massive Meteora North American Tour of 34 shows, the band's largest headlining tour in the United States and Canada ever. Many sold out arenas later, they earned a well-deserved break until summer. In June, they did a short run of nine shows in Europe and Asia that took them from some of the world's biggest rock festivals in Download Festival and Rock am Ring to Southeast Asia where they headlined a mix of five shows throughout the region.
After performing a one-off acoustic song, 'Let Down,' for the first time in 2005 for a Hurricane Katrina benefit and then a three song performance for Club Tattoo's 13th Anniversary in 2008 three years later, Chester Bennington officially kicked off the Dead By Sunrise era on July 4, 2009 with an acoustic set at the Steve Wyrick Theater.

After this performance, the band headed to Europe and Asia where they played during the Linkin Park encore with three songs at select dates, ironically an idea conjured up by none other than Mike Shinoda. Following the summer of 2009, Dead By Sunrise kicked off their promotional shows for the album in October across the world before taking part in a brief world tour.

The Las Vegas show was announced by Chester on Twitter on May 24, 2009, Chester writing: "Hey everyone. I'm ready to get out and play some shows. I'll be playing in Las Vegas July 4 at Club Tattoo at Miricle Mile shops." An official announcement came on June 3, 2009 on Linkin Park and Chester Bennington's pages: "Club Tattoo is opening a brand new store in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood's Miracle Mile Shops. The show is set for July 4th and will feature an acoustic set performed by Chester and his friends from Julien-K. The Linkin Park Street Team is wanting to get the word out about the opening of the parlor, so they've set a deal up for some fans."

Just before the third edition of Projekt Revolution 2004 kicked off, Linkin Park and Jay-Z played their famous Collision Course show at The Roxy in Hollywood. A few days later in Cincinnati, Projekt Revolution began and quickly became one of Linkin Park's most beloved tours by fans.
Composition
Composition
As was customary for a new tour, Projekt Revolution 2004 was treated to a new setlist by LP. Building off of the new setlist in Europe and Asia in June, they tweaked a few things. While some of the changes were smaller, like an altered Gacela Intro with more bells on "Don't Stay" and a shorter jam ending to "Wish", they had a few major changes as well. "Figure.09" was played for the first time in 2004, coming back into the setlist in a big way - with a heavy jam outro that transitioned into "From The Inside" and featured Chester screaming "blood, anger, suffering" on it. And next, "Breaking The Habit" featured a brand new outro transition into "Numb", getting rid of the new "Numb" intro from Europe and Asia.
The five songs from Las Vegas encompass the full acoustic set the band performed that night, with the full-band Dead By Sunrise lineup featuring Chester Bennington (vocals), Ryan Shuck (rhythm guitar/vocals), Amir Derakh (lead guitar), Anthony "Fu" Valcic (synthesizers, keyboards), Brandon Belsky (bass), and Elias Andra (drums).

Surprisingly, "A Place For My Head" was dropped from the setlist due to the appearance of "Figure.09" coming back, but after a few shows on the tour, Linkin Park added "A Place For My Head" back into the setlist to stay for the rest of the tour. As the years went on, the few audience recordings from this tour became legendary in the Linkin Park community for how strong the band's performances were and how impressive the setlist is - many would argue this could be the best setlist in the band's history.
About five weeks before the show, Chester replied to a few tweets saying that there would be five songs performed at the show, four of which would be on the album, and the first single was likely going to be 'Crawl Back In.'

Guest-wise, a few highlights occurred on the tour. Ivan the Urban Action figure came out to show his skills on the "It's Goin' Down" portion of "Step Up/Nobody's Listening/It's Goin' Down", Bert McCracken from The Used joined on "Faint" to scream the bridge and ending, and Jonathan Davis came out to perform his legendary part on "One Step Closer." At at least one show (possibly more), Snoop Dogg came out and guested on "It's Goin' Down" with a verse from his song "Gin and Juice."
Dead By Sunrise kicked the show off with the lead single on the album 'Crawl Back In' which was performed for the very first time. 'Walking In Circles' followed, with its second performance, coming after the debut at the Club Tattoo 2008 show, with "In The Darkness" being debuted right after it. Chester introduced 'In The Darkness' by saying, "It's about making love and feeling passion with another person. It was a new endeavor for me for this album to write love songs, because most songs I am used to writing about are usually pretty dark and angst-ridden. It's been an adventure."

On this tour, Linkin Park debuted a new stage. It featured Projekt Revolution 2004-style red, white and black coloring as well as pyrotechnics for the first time in the band's career which were used on both "Crawling" and "One Step Closer."
The show rounded out with the two fan-favorite (and most popular, at the time) songs 'Let Down,' which was performed in 2005, and 'Morning After,' a song fans knew from Linkin Park's 2001 touring for Hybrid Theory when Chester performed it a few times acoustically. The song was also performed with Chester's cover band Bucket of Weenies in 2005 as well as at the same Dead By Sunrise Club Tattoo show 'Walking In Circles' was played at in 2008.

By the time the Denver show came around, Linkin Park was in quite impressive form live and had just five shows left on the tour before they closed the touring cycle in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Clips of the show in Denver can be seen on the LPTV Episode 8 of Projekt Revolution 2004, released in 2007 to promote Minutes To Midnight.
Security at the show was pretty intense, with fans not being allowed to film the show at all.

From Projekt Revolution, Linkin Park released recordings of "Wish" and "One Step Closer" from the southeast USA on the Linkin Park Underground 4.0 CD along with a live video of "Figure.09."

The Meteora 20 release was announced on January 27, 2023 for a release date of March 24, 2003. Live In Denver - Projekt Revolution was included on the third DVD alongside Live In Manila 2004.
2009 Release of 'Let Down' and 'Morning After'
On October 25, 2009, a digital single for 'Let Down' was released titled, 'Let Down (Live),' which featured the recording of the song from this show.

On December 3, 2009, Linkin Park launched their 9th edition of their fan club, titled LP Underground 9. As a part of the website, they offered exclusive content to fans. One of these items was a recording of 'Morning After' from this show. The announcement from Linkin Park read, "LP UNDERGROUND 9 TO LAUNCH TODAY, DECEMBER 3RD! This year's package includes LPU9: DEMOS, a special rarities album featuring nine unreleased demo versions of some of the band's biggest hits, and 'Across The Line,' a previously unreleased song recorded during the Minutes To Midnight studio sessions. Fans also get 'Morning After (acoustic),' from Chester Bennington's side project, Dead By Sunrise (as an exclusive download). In addition to the CD, the LPU 9 package includes a t-shirt, guitar pick and patch!" The song was released in 160kbps mp3 format.

2024 Out Of Ashes 15th Anniversary
The Out Of Ashes vinyl was announced on February 15, 2024 for a release date of April 20, 2024. The vinyl is a 2xLP Limited Edition Black Ice Vinyl with a quantity of 7,500 and is marked as a 'RSD First' release. The information from Record Store Day says, "Dead By Sunrise is a band fronted by Linkin Park's Chester Bennington and included Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh from Orgy. Their only album, Out of Ashes, was released in 2009 on CD and digital, and a very limited vinyl pressing in Europe. This is the first vinyl release in North America, pressed for Record Store Day on Black Ice vinyl. The original album has been expanded to include the track 'Morning After,' previously a bonus track on the Japanese CD. Also included are five unreleased acoustic songs performed in Las Vegas."
Ryan Shuck wrote on the Dead By Sunrise Instagram account, "This vinyl will contain the much requested acoustic promotional performance we did in Las Vegas in conjunction with @clubtattoo ! We had always intended to release these versions as we were shocked that the songs sounded so good acoustically! I remember watching the video footage of the performance with Chester - he turned to me and smiled and said 'well, I guess we can book acoustic shows too!! This sounds amazing!!'.
We are super grateful to Talinda for pushing to make this happen as well as our friends @ Warner Bros records + Machine Shop! If it wasn’t for Talinda we would have never had the push we needed to get this material out. I have to tell you: it was wonderful to to have conversations about Dead By Sunrise again, and discuss material and release ideas… really felt good.
We hope you enjoy it!!!"
The announcement was immediately praised by Dead By Sunrise and Linkin Park fans online. The original pressing of the album on vinyl has remained quite hard to obtain over the years, ranging anywhere from $250-$550 in price. This is also the first live show release by the band.

Live In Las Vegas
Live album by Dead By Sunrise
Recorded:July 4, 2009
Released:April 20, 2024
Length:21:25
Label:Warner Records

(This is an expansion of the Out Of Ashes album page for the 15th anniversary release in 2024.)

Live in Las Vegas is a live concert by Dead Sunrise included on the 2024 reissue of their album Out Of Ashes as tracks 14 through 18. This is the first full show by the band to be released, but it is not its own standalone release.

Background

I'll be playing in Las Vegas July 4 at Club Tattoo at Miricle Mile shops."[1] An official announcement came on June 3, 2009 on Linkin Park and Chester Bennington's pages: "Club Tattoo is opening a brand new store in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood's Miracle Mile Shops. The show is set for July 4th and will feature an acoustic set performed by Chester and his friends from Julien-K. The Linkin Park Street Team is wanting to get the word out about the opening of the parlor, so they've set a deal up for some fans."[2][3]

Composition

The five songs from Las Vegas encompass the full acoustic set the band performed that night, with the full-band Dead By Sunrise lineup featuring Chester Bennington (vocals), Ryan Shuck (rhythm guitar/vocals), Amir Derakh (lead guitar), Anthony "Fu" Valcic (synthesizers, keyboards), Brandon Belsky (bass), and Elias Andra (drums).

About five weeks before the show, Chester replied to a few tweets saying that there would be five songs performed at the show, four of which would be on the album, and the first single was likely going to be 'Crawl Back In.'[4]

Security at the show was pretty intense, with fans not being allowed to film the show at all.

Release

Also included are five unreleased acoustic songs performed in Las Vegas."[5]

Ryan Shuck wrote on the Dead By Sunrise Instagram account,[6] "This vinyl will contain the much requested acoustic promotional performance we did in Las Vegas in conjunction with @clubtattoo !
