Show Notes:
- Brad gave the keynote address for the College of Letters and Sciences graduation ceremony at UCLA. He replaced James Franco, who canceled a few days beforehand. During his keynote, he stripped down to a Bruins basketball jersey and shorts and performed a short Britney Spears cover. The YouTube description of it reads, "Brad Delson, UCLA alum and guitarist for Linkin Park, strips down to a Bruins b-ball jersey and shorts; channels Britney Spears; talks about James Franco, Conan O'Brien, Jamie Foxx and Ellen DeGeneres; and offers some poignant words of wisdom in his spirited keynote address at the UCLA College of Letters and Science commencement ceremony on June 12, 2009."
Other Notes:
- On June 5, 2009, UCLA announced, "Brad Delson, a UCLA alumnus and lead guitarist for the Grammy-winning band Linkin Park, will deliver keynote remarks at the UCLA College of Letters and Science commencement ceremony on June 12. Delson earned a bachelor's degree in communication studies from UCLA, graduating summa cum laude in 1999. Delson was picked based on recommendations from a selection committee after the scheduled keynote speaker, actor and UCLA alumnus James Franco, canceled the week prior to the event because of filming commitments."
