While most of the songs on Out Of Ashes were written about Chester's relationships and the dark period he went through while working on the album, "End Of The World" stands out for being the only song in the record to feature politically charged lyrics.

Part of the original lyrics to the song, as confirmed by Ryan Shuck,[1] were shown during an interview to The MySpace Music Feed. They were: "Do you believe in life after death, Without any pain or disease, Do you believe that faith is a test, The greatest truth can't be seen, Do you believe those who suffer are blessed, They know the true meaning of life."[2]

At the mtvU Ulalume show, "End Of The World" opened the show for the first, and only, time. When the band embarked on their 2010 Asian tour, "End Of The World" was moved down to after "Into You" in the set, where it stayed for the remainder of its tenure live.
