Background
"Track 7" refers to the instrumental hidden track on "Part Of Me" from the "Hybrid Theory EP". The music, written and produced entirely by Mike Shinoda, starts at 9:58 on "Part Of Me", after a few minutes of static. It doesn't have an official name, but it is known as "Ambient" or "Secret" among fans.
Mike said that, although the song sounds like a video game theme, he didn't plan it that way, it just happened.[1]
