Introduction

The European Tour in summer 2017 is the second tour for Linkin Park's new album One More Light, due out on May 19, 2017. They will be playing festivals across the continent as usual for them in June during the year of an album release. In March 2017, Linkin Park announced a series of arena shows to compliment the festivals - Amsterdam, London, Birmingham, and Manchester.

As of now, they are playing twelve festivals across the continent. This will be the largest number of festivals the band has ever played on one single tour. 2012's European Tour before the release of Living Things had nine festivals, for comparison.

This will be Linkin Park's first appearance at the festivals of Download Paris, Aerodrome, Impact, I-Days, Hellfest, Download Madrid, Hurricane, Southside, Telekom VOLT, and Bråvalla. The only festivals that they have played before are NovaRock (2007, 2011, and 2012) and Rock Werchter (2011).

The show at Aerodrome in Prague is the first Linkin Park show in the Czech Republic since 2008, when they played Brno, and the first show in Prague since 2007. The show at Telekom VOLT in Sopron is the first Linkin Park show in Hungary.

Bråvalla in Sweden is Linkin Park's festival appearance in Sweden. The Hultsfred 2003 and 2008 shows were canceled due to Chester having a virus and Brad having an ear infection, respectively. Although it is the third show in Sweden following headlining shows in Stockholm in 2007 and 2011, Linkin Park also canceled a September 2001 Stockholm club show, bringing the total of played shows in the country to 3 and the number of canceled shows in the country to 3 as well.
