Background

"Technique" was a song written by Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn. The "Short" on the title implies that there was a longer version of this instrumental at some point. Part of this longer version can be heard on the LP Underground 7 exclusive video "Glorious Excess Born".

A full-length demo of the song was leaked in June 2019, but it is different from the version in the LPU video. Coming in around two and a half minutes, it says the line "you must exercise the proper technique" over and over throughout the demo. There is a sample of an unknown origin in the track that says "molba sekiya."
