Background

"Drop" is one of many short interludes by the same title found on Urban Network Magazine's hip-hop compilation Rapology 13. The song was recorded and performed by Mike Shinoda (credited as Kenji) and Joe Hahn (credited as Artofficial) when they both were already in Xero. At the time, Joe used to write reviews for the magazine.[1] Lee Cadena, Rap Editor at Urban Network and creator of the Rapology series, started an artist management and development company in 1998 called LCM which worked with Xero.[2]
