"Cure For The Itch" was also reported to have been played during the encore of the London Brixton Academy show on June 4, 2001, but it's unknown if it was the full version of the song or the shortened version the band had performed frequently in 2000/early 2001. It's also possible that the song wasn't played at all at that show, and the person reporting the setlist got the song mixed up with one of Joe's other solo instrumental pieces that were performed regularly during the Hybrid Theory days.

A Thousand Suns

Title Album First known performance Last known performance Notes
"The Requiem" A Thousand Suns September 14, 2010 September 23, 2011 Not counting mashups with "The Catalyst".
"The Radiance" September 14, 2010 September 14, 2010 The album version of "The Radiance" was only performed once, at the New York release show for A Thousand Suns. See the next two entries for information about other versions of the song.
"The Radiance" (w/ Mario Savio speech) October 7, 2010 September 23, 2011 This is essentially the instrumental portion of "The Radiance", with the Mario Savio speech (originally from the intro to "Wretches And Kings") used in place of the Robert Oppenheimer speech that is used on the album version. This was originally used as a method of connecting "The Requiem" with "Wretches And Kings", as those two songs were used to open most shows at the beginning of the A Thousand Suns touring cycle, but the Savio speech continued to be paired with the instrumental part of "The Radiance" at later shows, even when the opening song was not "Wretches And Kings".
"The Radiance" (Live Version) October 7, 2010 September 25, 2011 This is an unofficial name for the piano interlude that was used as an extended outro to "Numb" on the A Thousand Suns touring cycle. It uses the Robert Oppenheimer speech from "The Radiance", as well as some lyrics from "The Catalyst". Essentially, "The Radiance" was typically played in full at A Thousand Suns concerts, but the instrumental and speech portions were split up and used during different parts of the show.
"Burning In The Skies" December 13, 2010 September 23, 2011 Not counting mashups with "Bleed It Out".
"Empty Spaces" October 7, 2010 January 10, 2014 Much like the relationship between "Foreword" and "Don't Stay", "Empty Spaces" is essentially just a short intro that leads into "When They Come For Me". Not played from September 23, 2011 until August 10, 2012 (this song wasn't played on the first leg of the Living Things touring cycle), and again from October 10, 2012 until January 10, 2014.
"When They Come For Me" October 7, 2010 January 10, 2014 Not counting its inclusion in Mike's solo medley in 2014. "Wretches And Kings" September 14, 2010 Fabruary 28, 2011 Not counting its inclusion in Mike or Joe's solo medleys in 2014. The Mario Savio speech at the beginning of this song is sometimes cut out from the live version, as that speech was used to open most concerts on the A Thousand Suns touring cycle, but "Wretches And Kings" wasn't always the opening song.
"Wisdom, Justice, And Love" October 7, 2010 September 25, 2011 Not counting its inclusion in the "Castle Of Glass Experience" in 2014.
"Iridescent" September 7, 2010 September 25, 2011 Not counting its inclusion in a medley in 2012-2014.

"The Messenger" October 7, 2010 August 31, 2011 August 31, 2011 refers to the last "full" performance. Chester also sang this song at the A Thousand Horizons event in Tokyo on September 9, 2011, but the backing music was all pre-recorded (none of the other band members took part in the performance), so we haven't included that.

"My December" The Real Slim Santa January 16, 2004 March 15, 2004 This entry only refers to "regular" performances of the song, not acoustic or piano versions. Despite being played frequently for about 6 months in late 2001/early 2002 (see below), this song was never actually played in its original format with electric guitar and bass until 2004!
"Be Yourself" June 2, 2001 June 8, 2001 The first performance was most likely May 19, 2001. A brief instrumental interlude that is only known to have been played 3 times in 2001 (June 2, June 3, and June 8). The name is unofficial, it was given this title by fans due to Chester repeatedly singing "Be yourself" over it on the June 2 performance. The setlist for the May 19, 2001 show lists a "Mellow Interlude" between "High Voltage" and "Pushing Me Away" that is assumed to be referring to this piece of music, but there isn't a recording of that show to use as confirmation. This also opens up the possibility of the song being performed on May 30 as well.

"Burn It Down" (Reggae Version) August 1, 2013 November 7, 2014 Performed twice when fans were present. This is a kind of "joke version" of the song that the band apparently likes to play around with during rehearsals. It was played at a production rehearsal on August 1, 2013 that several contest winners got to attend, and also during soundcheck at the Amsterdam LPU Summit on November 7, 2014.
"A Light That Never Comes" Recharged August 10, 2013 January 9, 2014 Performed by Mike, Chester, and Steve Aoki on August 10, 2013, November 15, 2013 (with Travis Barker also playing drums), and November 26, 2013. Performed by Linkin Park as a full band (but without Steve Aoki) on January 9, 2014.
"Castle Of Glass" (Experience Version #1) May 24, 2014 September 19, 2014 Version of the song performed in 2014, which was essentially a mashup of the album version and the remix version found on Recharged.
"Castle Of Glass" (Experience Version #2) October 19, 2014 November 7, 2015 Updated version of the song, which featured the addition of clips of the Martin Luther King and Robert Oppenheimer speeches from "Wisdom, Justice, And Love" and "The Radiance" during the bridge and outro.
"Joe Hahn Solo Medley" May 24, 2014 November 7, 2015 Joe's solo spot in 2014-2015 performances featured portions of numerous songs, including "Cure For The Itch", "Session", "Wretches And Kings", "Plc.4 Mie Hæd", "Buy Myself" (Remix), and "Victimized" (M. Shinoda Remix).
"Mike Shinoda Solo Medley" May 24, 2014 June 20, 2015 Mike's solo spot in 2014-2015 performances was a mashup of numerous songs, including instrumental portions of "Skin To Bone", "Wretches And Kings", "Remember The Name", and "In My Remains". Vocally, this mashup always featured a verse from "Wretches And Kings" and a chorus from "Remember The Name", but the final verse varied between several different verses. Mike primarily performed a "hybrid verse" of both of his verses from "Remember The Name" before finishing the song off with another chorus from "Remember The Name", but he also occasionally did verses from the following songs: "Skin To Bone" (Nick Catchdubs Remix) (May 24, 2014, May 30, 2014, June 1, 2014, June 5, 2014, June 8, 2014, August 6, 2014*, August 8, 2014, November 7, 2014, November 23, 2014, January 15, 2015), "When They Come For Me" (June 2, 2014, June 10, 2014, August 6, 2014*, August 9, 2014, August 18 2014, August 27, 2014, August 29, 2014, September 5, 2014), "Hands Held High" (June 7, 2014, June 12, 2014), and "High Voltage" (November 20, 2014). The medley was played twice during the production rehearsal on August 6, 2014, with one run-through getting the "Skin To Bone" verse, and the other getting the second verse from "When They Come For Me". This was the only time the second verse of "When They Come For Me" was performed as part of the medley, Mike normally performs the first verse.
"Papercut" (Luis Ortiz Jam Version) October 25, 2014 October 25, 2014 This was an impromptu jam with Luis Ortiz that took place in the middle of the band's Stars of the Season gala performance on October 25, 2014. This was actually a partial rendition of the song, as it only went through the second chorus (Mike wasn't really sure what to do with the song once they got to the point where Brad's guitar solo would start!).
"The Messenger" (Acoustic) November 11, 2010 June 28, 2013 While "The Messenger" is basically an "acoustic" song to begin with, this refers to instances where this song was performed in an even more stripped-down version than the usual live version. Performed by Brad and Chester at the 2010 LPU Summit in London (November 11, 2010) and the 2011 LPU Summit in Germany (June 21, 2011), by Chester and Phoenix at a benefit concert in Salt Lake City, UT (June 28, 2013), by Chester alone at the 2010 LPU Summit in Australia (December 15, 2010) and at a 2013 radio appearance on 103.9 in San Bernadino, CA (June 5, 2013), and by Chester, Mike, and Brad at the 2012 LPU Summit in New Jersey (August 17, 2012).

"My December" (Acoustic Version #1) December 17, 2000 December 17, 2000 This refers to the version of this song performed at its live debut at KROQ's Almost Acoustic Xmas in 2000, which featured Mike on piano, Brad on acoustic guitar, and Chester on vocals.
"My December" (Acoustic Version #2) September 15, 2001 September 24, 2001 The first performance was possibly September 28, 2001. Phoenix and Rob did not take part in these performances.
"My December" (Acoustic Version #3) November 20, 2001 February 24, 2002 The first performance was possibly November 18, 2001. Mike still played the piano part on an MPC for these performances, with the exception of the second night of KROQ's Almost Acoustic Xmas on December 9, 2001, where he played a real piano.
"My December" (Piano Version #1) August 10, 2006 August 15, 2006 This refers to the version of this song performed twice in 2006, which consisted of Mike on piano and Chester on vocals, with the piano parts basically being the same as in the original song.

"O Little Town Of Bethlehem" December 8, 2007 December 8, 2007 The children's choir that sang on "Hands Held High" at the 2007 KROQ Almost Acoustic Xmas show sang part of this song over the "Hands Held High" intro. "Waiting Room" (Fugazi cover) November 12, 2014 November 12, 2014 Never played in full, but part of this song was mashed up with "Bleed It Out" at the November 12, 2014 performance in Leipzig, Germany.
"Let It Go" (Idina Menzel cover) August 20, 2015 August 23, 2015 Mike jokingly played the piano part to this song as an outro to the "Leave Out All The Rest/Shadow Of The Day/Iridescent" medley at two shows in 2015.

Non Jay-Z Mashups

Title Album First known performance Last known performance Notes
"Nobody's Listening/My Name" April 9, 2003 April 26, 2003 Xzibit routinely came out during "Nobody's Listening" on the Projekt Revolution tour in 2003 to rap a verse from "My Name". This was done in a similar manner to how Mike added the "Standing In The Middle" verse to "Nobody's Listening" later in the year (with the extra verse coming after the song's normal second verse).
"It's Goin' Down/Gin And Juice" August 30, 2004 August 30, 2004 At the Projekt Revolution 2004 show in Colorado, Snoop Dogg came out during the "It's Goin' Down" portion of the "Hip-Hop Medley" LP had been performing on that tour, and rapped a verse from "Gin And Juice" over the extended outro. This collaboration was rumored to take place at a few shows on this tour, but the Colorado show is the only one that has been confirmed.
"Points Of Authority/Nobody's Listening" August 3, 2007 August 31, 2007 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "Nobody's Listening" entry. Part of "Nobody's Listening" was briefly mashed up with "Points Of Authority" at 3 Projekt Revolution 2007 shows (August 3, August 24. and August 31).
"Points Of Authority/Step Up" August 10, 2007 August 11, 2009 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "Step Up" entry. Part of "Step Up" was briefly mashed up with Points Of Authority at 2 2007 shows (August 10 and October 26), and the 2009 show in Okinawa, Japan.
"Points Of Authority/High Voltage" August 14, 2007 July 30, 2009 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "High Voltage" entry. Part of "High Voltage" was briefly mashed up with "Points Of Authority" at 3 Projekt Revolution 2007 shows (August 14, August 21, and September 3), and the 2009 show in Stuttgart, Germany.
"Points Of Authority/It's Goin' Down" August 28, 2007 March 6, 2008 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "It's Goin' Down" entry. Part of "It's Goin' Down" was briefly mashed up with "Points Of Authority" at one 2007 show and 4 2008 shows (January 25, January 27, February 18, and March 6).
"Points Of Authority/A Place For My Head" July 21, 2009 August 22, 2009 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "A Place For My Head" entry. Part of "A Place For My Head" was briefly mashed up with the extended ending to "Points Of Authority" at most 2009 shows (July 21, July 25, July 26, July 28, August 1, August 2, August 5, August 8, August 13, August 15, August 16, and August 22).
"Points Of Authority/Reading My Eyes" July 30, 2009 August 9, 2009 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "Reading My Eyes" entry. Part of "Reading My Eyes" was briefly mashed up with the extended ending to "Points Of Authority" at 2 2009 shows.
"Hands Held High/Krwlng" July 16, 2008 August 22, 2009 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "Hands Held High" entry. The first verse of "Hands Held High" was mashed up with the Reanimated intro to "Crawling" on the Projekt Revolution 2008 tour, and again in 2009. Starting on July 23, 2009, Mike switched to rapping the second verse over the "Krwlng" intro instead. He reverted back to the first verse for the July 25 show, but did the second verse for every show from July 26 onwards (except for the August 15 show, which did not feature anything over the "Krwlng" intro).
"Bleed It Out/Reading My Eyes" June 20, 2008 November 7, 2014 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "Reading My Eyes" entry. Part of "Reading My Eyes" was mashed up with "Bleed It Out" at 2 2008 shows (June 20 and August 21), 3 2010 shows (November 2, November 9, and December 12), 3 2011 shows (June 19, June 21, and June 25), and 5 2013 shows (August 1, August 3, August 11, August 15, and August 19). 2013 performances featured Rob playing the drum beat from "Reading My Eyes", something he hadn't done on previous mashups of this song with "Bleed It Out".
"Bleed It Out/Sweet Child O' Mine" August 16, 2008 August 16, 2008 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "Sweet Child O' Mine" entry. Part of this song was mashed up with "Bleed It Out" at the Projekt Revolution 2008 show in East Troy, Wisconsin.
"Bleed It Out/Papercut" August 16, 2009 August 16, 2009 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "Papercut" entry. Part of "Papercut" was mashed up with "Bleed It Out" at the 2009 show in Macau, China.
"Bleed It Out/Burning In The Skies" October 9, 2010 June 12, 2011 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "Burning In The Skies" entry. The chorus of "Burning In The Skies" was mashed up with "Bleed It Out" at numerous shows during the A Thousand Suns touring cycle.
"Bleed It Out/A Place For My Head" October 26, 2010 September 25, 2011 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "A Place For My Head" entry. Parts of "A Place For My Head" were mashed up with "Bleed It Out" at numerous shows during the A Thousand Suns touring cycle. The initial performance on October 26, 2010 was a rather "typical" "Bleed It Out" mashup, where Mike just rapped the first verse of "A Place For My Head" over the "Bleed It Out" bridge, but at subsequent performances (October 29, 2010 and onwards), the band actually performed a more substantial mashup, combining the first verse and bridge from "A Place For My Head" with the middle section of "Bleed It Out" (including Rob playing the drum part from "A Place For My Head" while the guitars from "Bleed It Out" continued).
"Bleed It Out/Harlem Shake" March 4, 2013 March 4, 2013 Joe Hahn played part of "Harlem Shake" during the bridge of "Bleed It Out" at the last show of the 2013 Australian tour in Perth.
"Bleed It Out/The Catalyst" May 24, 2014 January 18, 2015 Part of "The Catalyst" was regularly mashed up with the bridge of "Bleed It Out" in 2014-2015. This always featured at least the "lift me up, let me go" vocal section, but from time to time also featured various other elements of the song, including Rob's drum part from the outro, and Mike and/or Brad playing guitar chord progressions that reflected the chord progression from the outro.
"Bleed It Out/What I Do" June 22, 2014 June 22, 2014 Machine Gun Kelly joined the band for "Bleed It Out" at Warped Tour on June 22, 2014, and rapped a verse from "What I Do" over the bridge.
"Victimized/QWERTY" August 10, 2012 August 19, 2013 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "QWERTY" entry. All performances of "Victimized" during the Living Things touring cycle featured a portion of "QWERTY". August 10, 2012 performance was during rehearsals attended by select LPU'ers. First public performance was August 11, 2012.
"Numb vs. Numb/Encore" August 11, 2012 November 14, 2015 This is only a separate entry to avoid any confusion with the normal "Numb/Encore" entry. Mike (and sometimes Chester) briefly sang a few lines from the chorus of Encore over the outro to "Numb" semi-regularly during the Living Things touring cycle, up through January 11, 2014. Starting on May 24, 2014, a more thorough "mashup" of the two songs debuted, which featured an intro and outro from "Numb/Encore", as well as Brad playing the guitar part from "Numb/Encore" during the first verse of "Numb". During the later part of 2014 and into 2015, sometimes only the "Numb/Encore" outro would be performed, while other times both the intro/first verse and outro elements of the song would be performed.
"Mashup Intro #1: The Catalyst/The Requiem" May 24, 2014 July 24, 2014 Mashup of an instrumental portion of "The Catalyst" with the vocals and some of the synthesizers from "The Requiem", which was used as a show intro in 2014. A small sample from "1stp Klosr" was also featured in this mashup.
"Mashup Intro #2: The Requiem/The Summoning/The Catalyst/Guilty All The Same" August 6, 2014 January 18, 2015 Updated "mashup intro" that debuted on the Carnivores Tour. This intro featured vocals from "The Requiem", a portion of "The Summoning", piano and vocals from "The Catalyst", and drum/guitar samples from "Guilty All The Same". Small samples of "1stp Klosr" and "Session" were also featured in this mashup. August 6, 2014 performance was a private production rehearsal attended by select fans. First public performance was August 8, 2014.
"Until It's Gone/The Catalyst/No More Sorrow/New Divide" May 24, 2014 June 14, 2014 This was essentially an extended intro to "Until It's Gone" performed in 2014, which also featured musical elements from "The Catalyst", "No More Sorrow", and "New Divide".
"Papercut/Seasons Of War" November 7, 2015 November 7, 2015 A portion of "Seasons of War" (the original opening cinematic theme from World of Warcraft) was used as a show intro and mashed up with the beginning of "Papercut" for the band's 2015 BlizzCon performance.

Crawling (Acapella) October, 8, 2012 October, 8, 2012 Chester sang a verse of "Crawling" acapella at the October 8, 2012 show in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, due to a combination of technical difficulties with Mike's keyboard during the set and fans chanting for the song.

Cure For The Itch (Shortened) July 24, 2000 January 10, 2001 The first performance was possibly June 4, 2001. Roughly half of this song was used as Linkin Park's show intro quite a bit during the early stages of the Hybrid Theory touring cycle, but the song was never known to have been performed in its entirety (until the one-off performance of Hybrid Theory in its entirety at the 2014 Download Festival). Cure for the Itch was reported to have been played during the encore of the London Brixton Academy show on June 4, 2001, but it's unknown if it was the full version or the shortened version. It's also possible that the song wasn't played at all at that show, and the person reporting the setlist got the song mixed up with one of Joe's other solo instrumental pieces that were performed regularly during the Hybrid Theory days.
Numb (Shortened) June 23, 2012 June 23, 2012 Performed as a shortened version for a Japanese TV performance in 2012, due to time constraints.

Hands Held High (Acapella) June 13, 2008 August 22, 2009 This refers to all instances of Mike rapping verses from "Hands Held High" independently of either the song itself or the "Krwlng" intro. He rapped the first verse completely acapella on June 13, 2008 and June 29, 2008, and did it over a piano piece/intro to "What I've Done" on July 12, 2008. Starting on July 26, 2009, Mike began rapping the first verse acapella prior to "Crawling", and then rapping the second verse over the "Krwlng" intro.
Robot Boy (Instrumental) May 24, 2014 November 7, 2015 "Robot Boy" remains the only track from A Thousand Suns to have never been performed in its entirety, but a shortened instrumental portion of it was used as an interlude in the band's live shows in 2014-2015.
Waiting For The End (Shortened) September 22, 2012 September 22, 2012 Performed at the iHeartRadio festival on September 22, 2012.
Blackout (Instrumental) May 24, 2014 January 18, 2015 A shortened instrumental version of "Blackout" was used as an interlude for performances in 2014-2015, which typically led into the intro of "Papercut".
The Catalyst (Shortened) September 12, 2010 September 12, 2010 Performed at the 2010 VMAs, shortened due to time constraints. The edit of the song the band played was somewhat different from the song's official radio edit.

Lies Greed Misery (Shortened) June 23, 2012 June 23, 2012 Performed as a shortened version for a Japanese TV performance in 2012, due to time constraints.
Until It's Gone (Shortened) August 6, 2014 December 13, 2014 Performed regularly in the second half of 2014. August 8, 2014 performance was a private production rehearsal attended by select fans. First public performance was August 8, 2014.
Numb/Encore (Shortened) Fabruary 21, 2008 June 29, 2008 Jay-Z made two guest appearances during Linkin Park sets in 2008, once at Madison Square Garden on 2/21 and once in Milton Keynes, England for the filming of the Road To Revolution DVD on June, 29. At both of those shows, the band had already played the full version of "Numb" earlier in the set, so their performances of "Numb/Encore" were shortened, ending at the point where Chester's vocals from "Numb" would normally begin.
New Divide (Shortened) May 24, 2014 January 18, 2015 Performed regularly in 2014-2015.
