In the album credits, the violin and cello are listed as being recorded at "The Stockroom", which was a name the band gave to Mike Shinoda's home studio.

Music Video

The music video for "Opening" was directed by Joe Hahn[2] for MTV2's "MTV:Playback" and features a girl going to bed. The same girl also stars the music videos for "Chali", "Frgt/10", "Riff Raff", "Ntr\Mssion", and "Stef".

MTV: Playback was originally aired on July 27, 2002 at 2:00pm, with a rerun on July 28, 2002 at 8:00pm.[3]
