"Let You Go" is a single by Irish folk band Beoga. The song was co-written by Brad Delson (of Linkin Park); Liam Bradley, Eamon Murray, Niamh Dunne and Seán Óg Graham (of Beoga); Nick Long (member of English rock/rap/pop group Dancing Lotus); Danielle McKee (Canadian pop/rock singer); Jame Keogh (Australian indie singer who goes by the name Vance Joy); and Andrew Well (lead singer and guitarist of American post-hardcore band Eidola).[1]

Background

The initial track was recorded in England at Angelic Studios with producer Jonny Coffer. Speaking about the song, Beoga said, “‘Let You Go’ is about trying to cut ties with someone and being able to move on. We’re thrilled to have been able to collaborate with the great Anderson East on this. His southern drawl married really well with our sound, we are so glad he agreed to be part of this chapter of the new record.” Anderson added, “It’s such an honor to be on a record with such incredible, talented musicians who blend tradition and modernity. Beoga on a record is spectacular and to see them in person is to witness something truly special.”[2]

Lyrics

Template:Collapse top

Saw you in a dream
You were smiling I was too
You found what you need
What I couldn't give to you

Some roads never end
But sometimes we pretend

Sunlight on your face
But something's changed
It's me or you
And I can't find a way back to the one I thought I knew

Some roads never end
But sometimes we pretend

Just let me let you go
Just let me let you go
Why we holding onto something already gone?
Just let me let you go

Some roads never end
But sometimes we pretend

Just let me let you go
Just let me let you go
Why we holding onto something already gone?
Just let me let you go
