Background

"Jigga What/Faint" is a mash-up between "Faint", from Linkin Park's Meteora, and "Nigga What, Nigga Who (Originator 99)", from Jay-Z's Vol. 2... Hard Knock Life. The title of Jay-Z's song was changed to "Jigga What" to avoid airing the word "nigga". Mike's verses from "Faint" and Jay-Z's verses from "Jigga What, Jigga Who (Originator 99)" were re-recorded.

Live

"Jigga What/Faint" debuted at the MTV Ultimate Mash-Ups event in West Hollywood, California, along with the rest of the Collision Course tracks. Linkin Park and Jay-Z had to play each of the album's tracks twice due to lighting messing up. A little less than two weeks later, Jay-Z made a surprise appearance during Linkin Park's set in Holmdel, New Jersey on Projekt Revolution 2004, where he performed the first three songs of Collision Course with the band ("Jigga What/Faint" included).

The song was also performed at both 2005 shows, as well. It made two more appearances during the Minutes To Midnight touring cycle, where it was performed (with the extended outro of "Faint") at the band's shows in New York City, New York and Milton Keynes, England with Jay-Z. The song hasn't been performed since.
