"All Night" is the fourteenth track on Fort Minor's We Major mixtape.
Background
"All Night" features Apathy, Tak from Styles of Beyond, and Celph Titled. Mike Shinoda does not have a verse on the song although he shouts out Demigodz, Fort Minor, and Styles Of Beyond at the end of the song in a chopped up shout out by DJ Green Lantern.
Apathy said about the song, "Styles of Beyond are Demigodz. That's my crew. They connected Celph and I with Mike. Mike loved our shit, and showed us CRAZY love. He sent me the Bloc Party beat, I rocked to it, sent it back to him the next day. I produced the beat for "All Night", rapped to it, and didn't know if they were gonna use it or not... Mike added the extra drums on it, put Tak and Celph on it... and the rest is history. Mike is a monster. Nasty MC and producer. That muthafucker knows he's nice too. I'm sure we'll be doin work in the future. Demigodz will always hold it down for Mike, no matter what. All he has to do is say the word."[1]
The main instrumental on "All Night" comes from the song "Tom Sawyer" by Rush. The line "You heard of us, the murderers" at the end in between Mike's shoutouts is sampled from verse two of "Victory" by Puff Daddy and The Family.
A version of the song was released on by Apathy on four disc compilation The Gatalog: A Collection Of Chaos in 2007 which features no overdubs or transitions on the track.
